So i was thinking about just running my Zune through an active crossover and completely bypassing my HU. Skullz Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Turning on and off the amps from a switch that if you happen to forget and leave on could drain your battery, otherwise its pretty simple and should work fine. kmalinich Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 i ran an ipod touch as a HU for a year... remote line ran to my fusebox to the radio fuse...worked great... i have a HU now..the ipod put out more voltage through the RCAs than my pioneer HU does now lol

Well it has a 3.1v output using the dock (which i would be) And as quality goes, the dock pulls files directly from the hard drive and plays them through an rca output, so its about the same as any iPod direct HU. Actually, does anyone know of a head unit that will do Zune direct?
