victor8881 Posted April 17, 2010 Report Share Posted April 17, 2010 thanks rusty! ya P... they make you shave it. it sucks... but itll be nice when the 100* weather hits. victor - i am doing it on my own. like you said, its really hard to find a job at the moment. several people at the academy have jobs with alameda county sheriff department but TONS of people are there for oakland PD. im going to wait till week 3 untill i start to REALLY look for jobs. this academy is the hardest in the area and a lot of people dont make it through the 1st 2 weeks. No shame in sponsoring yourself... Just another plus when you step into an oral panel. from here on out walk on egg shells when you hit the streets. bump far, far away from cops, because beat officers ENJOY GIVING academy students tickets. Friend was in his last 3 weeks of the CHP academy beat cop gave him a seat belt ticket when he back out of his driveway with no seatbelt on.... got recycled and had to start over! So don't expect officers to give you a golden pass.. HU: Kenwood KDC-MP745U.
