Ricky A.
im going to be powering 1 fi btl 15 and ive come down to 2 amps but cant fully decide which i want.. 1st is a fosgate td 1500 which is 1500 rms at 1 ohm. on the other hand im looking at an alpine mrp m2000 which is 2000 rms at 2 ohms. there both about the same price just wanted to know if yall had good or bad experiences with each. this will also determine if i get dual 1 or 2 vc's for the btl BUILD LINK: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/112034-2-sundown-18s-98-f-150/page__p__1565972__fromsearch__1#entry156597298 Ford F-150Truck:37" superswamper tsl radials16" ion alloy wheels3" body lift2" suspension liftOffbrand brushguardPIAA driving lights6000K HID'sSystem:2 18" Sundown NightshaedAq3500Custom Fiberglass boxfosgate T1 6x8 Coxialsbass inferno 2000 watt 4 channel2 XS power d3100's0 Gauge
hdorre
With the t1500-1bd you should expect about 1700 watts rms. That's underpowering the sub cuz the sub is rated at 2000 watts. Idk if alpines amps are underrated (like Rockford fosgate is). I've heard good things about both brands. I don't think the Alpine includes a remote bass knob like the fosgate amp does On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
Ricky A.
yeah i knew the fosgate was underrated and im pretty sure alpine does as well. i just dont see much of alpine on here as far as amps go and was wondering if it was for a reason. my local shop said they were solid amps but i cant beileeve them they lie to me all time.. and i can pick up a universal bass knob for like 15 buks. hdorre
You should look for a used t2000. A good place to start is on this forum; just post somehing in the "want to buy" section On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread

rusty959
First, statement to the OP, Alpine is pretty legit. Ive ran their amps before and they work quite well. I know mine was underrated but just google to see what that one generally does. I can't say much since ive never ran rf, but Id probably go with the alpine in the same situation. And to kranny, bass knobs are extremely useful IMO about any way you look at it. I guess it may not be quite the same with just a 12" or two, but when Ive got 2 18's behind my head, its useful to be able to turn them down a bit so I can see. Even with less power its still nice to be able to easily change the bass to the music. 2013 Subaru BRZ12" Orion HCCA on AQ 22001967 mustang restoration project: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110765-mustang-restoration-build-2011-edition/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/therusty959

CNF Kevosinn
save up a little more money and get the t2000 or what I would do is get a aq2200 to power it and its wayyyy cheaper. I have one and I love it. It says it puts out 2200 rms but its underrated. also it comes with a bass knob and its linkable. thats just my opinion, what do you guys think? btw the amp is only 400 bucks *** SuperSeller Status Verified *** ( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers/ ) "kevosinn's" astro van 8 custom Sundown Zv4 18's 4 Sundown scv 6000's CNF Distribution CNC parts Skyhigh wire some batteries SMD Meters and tools used on the installhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172877-kevosinns-vanwest-coast-skyhigh-car-audio-vehicle/ 16,000 watt walled silverado build.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161965-walled-silverado-4-hdc4-15s-4-crescendo-3500s-and-much-more/ 8,000 watt 1999 Subaru legacy outback.
