lowest amp impedence seen

whats the lowest you have ever seen a none modified amp go i am trying to find something able to handle 4 1ohm subs wired together in parallel what kind of load would that be i know that 2 1ohm subs would make a .5ohm but what about 4? .25ohm maybe does anyone know of any amp that can go down that low?

if you need to ask this question i do not advise trying anything like that. i have seen amps run at .25 ohm. but not for daily use and on a ridiculously strong electrical system

If you're asking what 4 1-ohm subs wired in parallel would be, I strongly advise not wiring 4 1-ohm subs in parallel and hooking them up to an amp. Especially if they're DVC's. The lowest I've heard of anyone using an amp was .4, but I'm sure people have gone lower. You need a killer electrical system to support that though. Any voltage drop whatsoever and you can fry all of your equipment before you have a chance to reach for the bas knob.

so id be better off running 4 amps then? im doing playing with some sick ideas in my head for a 2000 dodge ram thinking 4 re xxx 12s 2 sealed 2 ported or all 4 one of the other. truck will be semi daily but more twards the idea of comp i wanted to do just 1 amp but didnt think id be able to and use all the coils.

x2 and some oldschool ass 2ch amps could be ran down to .15 or so ohms but i forgot what brand they were, but they did like 50w @ 4ohm, and 1200w @.15 ohms or something like that, it was wierd, but things have changed now

i would not advise running an amp below .5ohm daily at all, with a strong as shit electrical system could and will work with it that low, but i would try it another way or get 2 amps

i take it the subs are dual 1ohm?

2 dual 1ohm subs can be wired to, 4ohm, 1ohm, and .5ohm

4 dual 1ohm subs can be wired to, 8ohm, 4ohm, and i think .025 or something like that but im not sure

woah..... you might want to step back and get some basics down before you go in ass first into this system.......

i dunno, they make the mx's in dual 2 and dual 1ohm, but all i can find is dual 2ohm on the xxx's

could prolly get a rft4000.1bd to push all 4 of em or maby 2 2500's for the sx's

but i would look more into a multi amp setup vs a single amp hella low ohm load type setup

well i have 6k to play with here so i figured id make this truck the most badass ive seen the plan was to do 2 18s of the same series but then i thought about cu. and realized that i prolly couldnt do 2 18s realisticly behind my seats thats where the idea of 4 12s came from. i actually got a change to see these series in a 15 at a shop the other day and fell in love thats why i really wana stick with them. im just trying to price everything out currently.

wired at 2 ohm per sub for just semi daily and then wire them for 1 ohm to do a comp.

i think with the funds i have i should be able to obtain what im looking for with these subs considering the only work to be done to the truck will be all inside and electrical
