just send it back because its toast, i was going to suggest db-r... but warranty ftw

damn noobs need to learn signs GREEN MEANS GO RED MEANS STOP

Lol.... Dont know why I did that. Noone to blame but my mistake on that one.

Also I have to call Eclipse Diamond Service for the warranty, so it will be fixed free of charge. So that's the good news. the bad news is no music for a while :/

I let my boy barrow an old xtant amp back in the day, he hooked it up backwards and it poped a cap. When I think about that he still owes ma an amp. lol Good thing he is my boy. lol

Haha. I opened my amp up and nothing looks fried or burnt. I also didn't hear anything when i turned car on after reversing the power and grounds. Is this typical?

11pm and I was out in a tiny cramped back seat, being 6'4 it's so hard on the back. But it works! Silly fuse is all it was. Thank god. Now I have my music

Amps are dead short circuit when hooked up backwards. Generally they'll blow the fuses on the end of the amp first (if it has them) then the power supply wire fuse. Then if you don't have either of these, or they're too big for some reason, you hear a sound like popcorn cooking as various parts of your amp remove themselves from the circuit :)
