Spea Dis(cuft.) .07 .10 .14

Copied and pasted from the website.

Amplifier

Mmats 1000.2 (1000watts x1 @ 2ohm)

Frequency Response:<10Hz to 275Hz

Low-pass Filter:Variable 24db, 77 to 275Hz

Battery Connectors:2 Gauge

I'm either going with 1 or 2 of the 2.0s depending on how much she want's me to spend.

My question to you guys, can anyone give me some box ideas for both 1 and 2 10" setups, length x width x height and port and all that, I have never built a box before and wouldn't mind doing this myself.

it's like they say... Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.

Well some good reads but I am now stuck wondering should I go bandpass or vented or what? Looking for ideas and what you guys think as I am doing a first install and would love to do more.

your first build go vented. Slot port will be the easiest.

Go ported. It'll be louder for 2 10's. If shes looking for more sound quality, make a sealed box. You first need to measure the trunk and get your max dimensions. Also make sure you double measure your opening for the trunk so you know the max height and length of a box you can put in.

Then use this calc to find port tuning, dimensions, all that good stuff

Wouldnt hurt to watch a few videos on RF's box build. It taught me a lot of stuff. 2 or 3 parts i think..

You can also browse around the sub and enclousure part of the forum and get ideas of what people are doing. That'll help you out a lot too. Just dont rush what youre trying to do and itll turn out good

Thanks for the links guys but now I am also worried that a 1k amp will be too much on her current alternator by itself so im going to order 2x optima batteries and ask you guys how to correctly do the "Big 3"?

with those two batteries and the big 3, i think she should be fine. not saying i know your wife, but i dont think women are driven to blare music as constantly as us bass heads

I used a JBL BP1200.1 on my stock '91 Celica, which led to alternator and battery problems. Just be prepared for electrical problems when using a 1kW amp or above... I got my stock alternator, think it was 65A fixed after it went out, got an Optima Yellow Top as my primary battery, and did the big 3... no more problems after that, except for some dimming but that was it. This is the entire reason why I stay under 1kW.
