I was wondering if there is some kind of solvent or such like that can be used to weaken CA glue (or any other glue used on woofers) so that it an be dismantled without cutting the surround or spider. The cheaper the better because the sub is only $1 (blown) and it's only a audiobahn DUB  so only a little project for shits and giggles.

Nah man. Chop chop chop.

CA glue = tough stuff.

Actually, I tell a lie. Acetone works. But it may also damage the sub.

aaawww :(

I'll have to get clever then.

EDIT: have to raid the nail polish remover then :P .

I might try a drop on one small patch, just to test.

Going out of your way to get a sub to tear apart? Haha i like the logic here.

Heck yeah, lol. Practice makes perfect.

It's a POS according to google, well, not with rewound coils of a bigger gauge (and of course a lower ohmage)

PS, Outbid me and I kill you :P

Wow, I'm surprised that CA glue can't be removed by solvent... We used to worship that stuff at work. It would remove 50 year old ink stains!
