While i don't mind that song...How the fuck old is "white"? he looks like he's in his 50's!

OP- I've had a couple friends with dreads, and your right, they aren't dirty. but they sure don't look clean. Just don't be surprised if people give you that "dirty hippy" look. Do that which makes you happy and don't worry about what others think/say.

IMO, dreads are meant for Jamaicans/Reggae Singers/Black people. Typically, they just don't look good on white dudes. But it's not my place to tell someone how to live their life, or judge the appearance in which they choose to display themselves. Dreads should have died with Peter Tosh (and I say that with the utmost respect for Tosh). Again that's just my opinion. Good luck with your decision.

I use to have long hair down to my shoulder, and i would have gotten my hairs with dreadlock or orbrace....

Also, at a show last night a guy came up to me dancing and hit me in the fact with his dreads 2 or 3 times.. they weren't that bad, but yuck dude! WTF!
