audiofanaticz
Explain great prices? like cheap as hell? I sent a inquiry. Thumbs crossed Looking at an average of $200-300. But is the best in the business Just depends brah....personally i wouldn't want my expensive amp repaired @ a "cheap as hell" price x2!!! Theres places like ARC and CIA Engineering that will fix you broken stuff on the cheap... But they will only fix what is broken, which leads to different date codes on the mosfets from different production batches, hell even different brands. All these things dont work good together because some will be weaker or stronger, and when you stress the amp they will just go snap crackly pop again! Been there, and done it many of times.. Plus Ive never seen a repair shop break off the old mosfets, solder the new mosfets to the old mosfet legs with big ol booger solder joints, and say good enough, without ever removing the amp from the heatsink! Lol DB-R is the win! Edited May 5, 2010 by Audiofanaticz
Twistedchild420
Looking at an average of $200-300. But is the best in the business Not neccesarily true...depends on the amp and the problem....i have heard way less quotes from him on amps with certain issues Quote My POS Bass machine-2003 Hyundai Santa Fe on some shitty 22'sBed Liner Paint Job-Pioneer AVH 3200DVD4 DAD BD series 15's in a 4th Order (Bassheads ENT Design)4 Arc Audio XDI2000.1 for the woofers6 Cadence CVL68MBX 6.5's-Cadence CVL88MBX 8's-6 Cadence XT20 Supertweeters2 Arc Audio KS300.4's for mids and tweets1 Arc Audio ALD 10v Line DriverAll Audiotechnix Power wire1 DC Power 270XP High Output Alternator1 XS Power D3400 up front....6 XS Power D3100's in the rearAir Lift 1000 Bags in rear to help with suspensionIf your still reading this GFY....... Team Maf
Just depends brah....personally i wouldn't want my expensive amp repaired @ a "cheap as hell" price What is DB-r's rep, has anyone had anything repaired from them of a similar "blown" instance? Told me $200 for half rebuild, or $250 for more than that. Direct from their assyst ticket. Feeling like thats a bit much. "It likely needs a lot more than just 3-4 mosfets, we only do half or full rebuilds here. Half on this amp is $200, Full is $250." Let me know guys..... Twistedchild420
Yea but im sure you wouldnt want to pay $$$ for a repair job when you can probably get a whole used amp from another being for the repair costs.
