BIGD502
I was thinking about running my power wire under my car instead of inside because it will be easier in my case and better looking. What are some precautions i need to take other than sealing the holes it comes through?
C-Fizzy
Just keep the wire away from heat, maybe put it in a loom, or PVC pipe Quote under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy? Sanitarium
mine's run along the outside of my frame.. since i have 4 runs going front to back, I used a piece of pvc and zip-tied it to th frame (well. newls1 did most of the work with the wire, to give credit where it's due)

pthrift
Alright thanks guys so will its probibally best to run it inside of something like some pvc hose or a loom? even if its just one run? 1 run or 10; i'd protect it. if that shielding on the wire gets messed up (i.e. cut; melts; etc) then you have a bare wire running under your vehicle. sounds like trouble to me. 1 run i'd do loom not pvc tho. pvc i'd imagine would be a real PITA to work with Quote Clicky for build log.... 2002 Tahoe DC Power Inc 3 alt bracket with 2x230a. alts 1 stock Eclipse CD5030 2 JL HD 600/4 4 Rockford Fosgate 2500bdcp's 4 DC Audio 18" XL's 4 Pr MB Quart Premium Components 200FT Stinger HPM 1/0 Rockford 360.2 No where near enough sound deadening
Ben G.
Hey, while we are on the topic of wires. What do you think about ground wires? Do you guys run your grounds from the engine bay? Just curious? I was thinking about grounding mine on the rear section of the frame and then running the wires in the same pipe and same hole that my power wires come in through the bottom of the vehicle? Sound good or not so much?
BIGD502
Just ground it to any piece of metal on your car some people run there grounds up there but you don't need to
