Jacksons10
I'm getting close to installing my system and just getting all my ducks in a row. What cleaner should I use for cleaning the bare metal before applying the damplifier mat to the metal?

emperorjj1
you dont want anything that leaves a residue. so water and or acetone... i normally wipe with wet towel to get rid of the dirt and stuff then go over the area with acetone Quote J. Anthony Collova
Any solvent like acetone or paint thinner wil lwork fine, Just make sure that no matter what cleaning agent you use, the last thing you do is wipe the panel down with water, several times, just to make sure there is no residue left over which may interfere with adhesion.
