DeepsplJeep
Getting ready to go from a 15 to an 18 in my jeep wrangler and want to put some skin on the roof. I was wondering which product to us and how much of it to keep the top from shaking so bad. It is already very bad with the 15 that I am afraid the fiber glass top might start to crack if it gets any louder. Just want to make sure I dont bust my top Quote 98 Jeep Wrangler 33x13.50 super swamper LTB's Memphis M3 15" Memphis MCD1000 Optima yellowtop D34/78 Bass Race 129.9 (LBZ Duramax in the future)

chud
I don't think you'll be able to completely eliminate rattlings and/or flexing, but you can curb it dramatically. If it's possible (don't know if the removeable fiberglass roof even has a headliner), think about a layer of damplifier pro coupled with a layer of luxury liner. That should do the trick. Like I said, the headliner, or lack thereof, may become an issue... Edited May 8, 2010 by chud Quote You can't fix stupid
cqtama
yea there is no headliner on it. i used to own one. i had a layer of deadener in mine and it helped alot Quote R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up. devilman
I used dynamat xtreme (I know but we had alot left over at the shop) and some LLP and it kinda looks like a headliner if you lay it out clean. And it deadened it real good to. Edited May 8, 2010 by devilman

Anthony Collova
We have a ton of jeep pwners that use Damplifier Pro on the ceiling of their hard top. I never did mine, but lots of guys do, and from what they tell me, they get awesome results. Probably would be be to ad some upholstery to it once you are done, but most don't ANT
corona_jeff
I think it would have to help some. When I had mine it flexed so much all you could hear was the top smacking the roll bar.
