cthedinger Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Well I have been looking for a full time job in the Car Audio, Video, Security, Fabrication, or Car Upholstery Industry. Long story short I ran into one of my moms old friends yesterday and she told me if I sent here my resume, that she would send it out too all the local companies. She also told me to include a Cover Letter for the front. Honestly I dont even know where to begin, I'm a High School Graduate and an Acoustic Edge Graduate. I have pictures of almost all the work I have done for the past year or so. But I dont even know what i should included in the resume or the cover letter or the format for them, so any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. She told me the only way she would do it is if I did it all my self. She is very well connected so I am willing to put in as much work as possible to get it done my self. Maybe just a really good title instead that makes it clear of what you have to offer. Just my opinion though. It shows you care more than a knockoff cookie cutter cover letter you are pumping out to everyone. If I read this right. Your mom's old friend is going to help you land a car audio gig? If you are trying to get into a shop you really need a portfolio of your work. Your car should be your resume with what you've done in it.
