cubs_fan0718 Posted May 14, 2010 Report Share Posted May 14, 2010 Okay im pretty sure that im going to go with 2 AQ HDC3-A 12's in my ride being powered by the SAZ-2500D this summer, but i was wondering even though these will be underpowered a little would it hurt my amps or subs? or if i wanted to really get crazy and get 2 fully loaded btl 12s would underpowering them that much hurt them or my amp in anyway? kirill007 Posted May 14, 2010 Report Share Posted May 14, 2010 Underpowering a sub never hurts. You can't kill a amp because you have used a subwoofer that is 2 or 3 times RMS. If you set you're gains correctly and don't use bass boost, then it should never blow. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
