AssKicker
I'm designing a new box for my G37, and I wanted it to have e most space possible while not occupying my entire trunk. Any how I have 3 questions: 1) What size diameter would I cut for a level 4 xl 12" invert? 11" still like normal? 2) Wiring wise and power wise, do I just reverse polarity's and run the same amount of power? 3) Port, for that will I just calculate air space as though the sub is not there and the formula is still the same? IH8PunkRok
1) It should still be the same cut out 2) Same amount of power yes. i dont think reversing polarity is needed 3) Yes, just do not subtract the displacement of the sub -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
Namosh
Actually, when I inverted my XL's in the same size cutout, I could push on the surround and feel the wood touching it. I didn't cut the hole larger but I did put a bevel on it just to be sure it wouldn't rub when playing. My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
AssKicker
So if I were to cut a 11.25 inch cut out I'd be fine right? And I'm having trouble with port length calculations with a single square port. I want to do one square port in the middle, and keep a nice amount of port area. Here is the problem: the port length ends up being super long! Are there any ways to like distribute this or some techniques for placement? Edit NVM: I figured it out
