Please help me w/ my alt. Trying to do Big 3

yea its a 3.1 v6

yea lol i guess i dont need help in knowing what i need to do, i just am sketchy about actually doing it. i dont want to mess any thing up

i dont want to have to try and rerun the entire belt so when i loosen it, do i just set it aside.?

Excessive Amperage "H/O" Alt


Xs D3400/ Xs XP3000


Big 3. 2 Runs of +, 2 Runs of -


DD M3b and 2 12" AQ HDC4s

you should either need a 1/2 inch or a 3/8 ratchet to take the tension off your belt with that tensioner. from what the pic says you should just have to put the ratchet in the square hole and push downward. its really not as hard as it seems to do. just be careful and dont let the ratchet slip out of the square hole. your knuckles wont like you if that happens lol it hurts like hell.

pull up the tensioner so the belt is loose and take the belt off the alt. then loosen all the bolts replace the solied metal negative connection with 0 guage and the rest is easy.... also if you need a HO alt for that motor hit me up i got one ill sell you
