Oso you are doing what I want to do in my Civic. Your box is exactly what I want to do with my setup..Even the front where you have the speaker Locations. I see where you put 2x4's up from the floor and then you put the box on top of it..Kinda made a shelf to put it on..Ok. All I need is a big square box, I can do that..I am used to building slot ported boxes..How would I figure the airspace and that port length with the exact same design box you are building..Cause that is how I want mine to look..Just like yours...Also I see you put 2x4's on top of the box up against the ceiling. Is that to stabilize the box and give it something to mount to? I guess I need to measure the space I have for mine..I want to run 2 Fi 15" BL's so I would need about 8 cubic feet. Now when i figure my port length how wide is your port looks like 6 inchs? Is that about right..

Well the way I built my shell was just build it as large as I could without having to make mitered cuts basically a square box.

The 1x2 on top of the box was inspired by meade and his built. They were basically used so I had something to screw all the sides together. I then took a grinder and grinded a angle on them so it wouldnbt trap the air flow. I believe my port is 8x38 so it yeilds me 304 square inches of port.

The shell itself is 20cf before port displacement and 16cf after which is right about where I need to be.

If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to ask. If I don't know I am sure the master Meade himself might have a answer or two.

Im trying my best. Tommorow is a bunch more sanding and probably getting the port in there and molding that to the baffle and walls.

Yeah Oso it looks real nice..I am always full of questions. I like to know exactly what i am doing before I start with it so i don't end up scratching my head..I still have a few more things to do but hopefully very soon I can have a members build thread as well..I will be getting my head unit in tommorow that I got from SPLGEO the Kenwood he was selling. Can't wait till tommorow..reminds me of Christmas.

Well after choking on dust for another couple hours in between 2 more coats of filler/resin mix (it thins it our and your able to put a thin filler coat on everything) this is where I am at. I have to take my grinder and trim the edges a lil to make it look nicer. Did a quick coat of Black Rustolium until I figure out how to carpet this damn thing. So here it is for now.

Ill get on mounting the port inside the box this weekend and sealing up that to the baffle.

out of curiousity, since this is a daily driver, did u do anything with the suspension?

Haven't done anything to it yet and probably wont until next year. And even then I am just gonna put a set of coil overs on with a higher spring rate than stock.
