corona_jeff
we do it unhooked. it makes less noise, and if you turn it to fast youll find where you clip the most so please unhook them matt.
rival904
0db tones? ive been doing some searching and see alot of people say to use -5db tones Quote 2004 Yellow F150 STX 4x4 Single Cab 2 Yellow DC Power 270SP's Alts 4(and counting) XS Power 6500's 4 DD3515s Supercharged 53cu.ft 4th order blowthrough 8 DD M1b's 6 Selenium 8's 2 Selenium ST350s 154.1 @ 41hz Legal Burp Build Log
HHR Ed
I do unhooked and 0dB tones. I never play -5dB tones so there is no reason to test with them. I dont think it would be accurate. rival904
How would unhooked and hooked compare in terms of where itll start clipping? With them hooked and 10v input I can barely touch the gain before clipping, makes it very quiet on music. Ill try unhooked tommorrow and see what happens. rival904
But actually putting the amp on a load isnt going to make a difference of where it starts to get sloppy? HHR Ed
10v signal input is alot for any amp. What is the sensitivity adjustment on your amp?
