-Hobby- Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 6 cubic feet net per sub. 16 sq in of port per cube and tuned to 36hz. Thats what I was told by DJ at Audioque. Use Exos box builder program that on the site here somewhere to design a box that will comply to those specs and fit in the area you have available.
OldsBoomer Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 listen to what hobby said but if you still have questions you can pm me for box help Suburban Coming Soon
chud Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 height - 25" width - 40" depth (top) - 14" depth (bottom) - 19" port width - 4.5" port width 2 - 7" internal volume - 6.3-ish cubic ft (before woofer displacement) tuning frequency - 36-ish Hz port area - 105.75-ish square inches 16.75-ish sq inches of port per cubic foot. CLOSE ENOUGH! I'm not an enclosure guru, so my numbers could be off. I highly suggest someone give them a look. You can't fix stupid
-Hobby- Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 so shoot for a port with 96 in² That number changes with relation to your net volume. You always have to find your net volume and then calculate what the sq area of the port is. A little bigger or smaller wont be noticeable.
bassHZ Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 hows this looking where did u get that program for box designing?
