level 4 in sealed box

i saw a thread here where rusty said even though it doesnt say so on the site, the level 4's do very well in sealed boxes, has anyone tryed these in sealed?

ive had them in a sealed box, and i also had my old XL 15s in a sealed box, they perform nicely in sealed, and sound great, as long as the box is built right

i just saw his vid, i dont want to insult the guy by saying i wasnt impressed, but i think i'll stick with level 3's in sealed and leave the level 4's for a different system when i go ported

they do great in a sealed enclosure, i like them in about 2 cubes maybe 2.25

I think 12 15s free aired would sound good... Not saying it's not impressive, because it is! but if you have 12 15s, you're going to be loud, just about no matter what they're in.

of course 12-15s would sound good in about any design, but how many systems do you know that was doing a 154 sealed with 6,000watts?

Not sure on the exact watts, I think he has 2- Dc Audio 3000Ds when I heard it, switched up to SD 3500s I think after

That is about 500w each sub

I have heard 6-15s, 4-15s, even more with 2, 3, 4, 5 times the power the DCs were getting, about as loud but in ported or bandpass enclosures, and NOT sound as musical, or low as Preston's
