Ok.. So when I play my subs loud.. I smell like.. that SMELL.. idk what it is.. it doesn't smell like burning.. but like.. idk? Inside of an appartment? It's happened on every system I've had.. I'm scared to play my 15's loud because I'm scared I'm burning the coils.. or something.. Even though It was happening to my old subs but I ignored it for like 5 months and they were fine.

i just blew my brothers type r 12. on a t1000.1bd at 2 ohm at 1139rms. i didnt even have the gain up 1/4 the way and it blew in like 2 weeks. really sucks. i was hoping it wouldnt blow

Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal?

heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history. Sure you may be fine and nothing happens but that one time something does happen you're fucked.

i dont want woofer broke like bass sound clip clip and voice coil overheat

you could have been clipping the crap out of that amp at that gain setting.

If you think it being 1/4 way up would save you, that was your first mistake. . .

Current system:

1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s

Previous systems:

2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz.

1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
