gbsx
I know you guys hate these questions and they are redunant every night and day. But I do need a few opinions and would greatly appreciate a couple from you guys with some details on why you would buy one or the other. It's down to these two amps for my next setup. I'm pushing (2) 12" Type R's in a ported box. Soundstream Hifonics I know there are alot better amps out there but I am on a strict budget. I can always sell this in a few weeks or a month and get something new after doing installs but I would enjoy some feedback from you guys on these two amps. lockdown801
Soundstrean FTW. They have gotten better and are affordable. The dtr amps can almost go any where and will hammer those subs.

Farmacist
Go with the soundstream...but DONT I MEAN DON'T buy from sonicelectronix, theyre not an authorized soundstream dealer so there's no warranty. The only authorized online Soundstream dealer is onlinecarstereo.com Team Soundstream Team Xs Power Team Secondskin Audio Team Mechman

Farmacist
Instead of the Tarantula TRX1000, I'd go with the Rubicon Rub1000.1 ... .Reason is because that version of Tarantula isn't being made anymore (sadly) and because the Rubicons have the best SQ out of any of the SS lines Besides the Human Reign and Reference series. I use the Rubicons myself and I couldn't be happier with them Team Soundstream Team Xs Power Team Secondskin Audio Team Mechman

Thanks for the link to online car stereo I'm looking at it now. Yea I just saw that the tarantula is not being made anymore. Any others you might suggest from Soundstream or right in the $180-$240 price range for 1000 watts RMS? 1989 E30 325i BMW (New Car) iPad 64GB 3G (COMING SOON!) 1 12" DC LEVEL 4 w/LEVEL 5 Soft Parts Ported box - 1.5 Cubes tuned to 33hz Sound Stream STL1.1200D 4 Gauge Stinger Wire (+ & -) 8 Gauge Amp to Sub Stinger Wire Tsunami Mini ANL 130 Amp Fuse AUDIO WRAP SUPPORTER!
