HyperliteLF920
So I have a Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bd amplifier (amp link), and I plan on running 1 15" Fi BL. Now I am not sure I should get the Dual 2 ohm voice coil, or the Dual 1 ohm voice coil and wire it to two ohms.... Obviously, I do not want to blow the sub. Also, would I be alright if i ran reducers (1/0 > 4 reducer link) for my + and -? Or are they too close and possibly arc out? Thank you for any and all help. C-Fizzy
1. get the dual 2, that Fi can handle it 2. run that 1/0 to a second battery in the back, then 4 guage from the rear batt to the amp. You are absolutely right. pick you up a little hc800 or something and run the 4 from that you can get really good for through ebay they sell 4 by the foot pretty cheap! and the FI will hand 1 ohm ALLLLL DAY! i have 1 18" at 1 ohm and it gets down and dirty! Hotdog
Sound like a nice setup As far as the reducers... just stick with the 1/0 to the amp .. Just trim the wires so there is no wire exposed when you hook it up to the amp. C-Fizzy
perfect. except, you can just run a negative from the rear batt to the negative on the amp. may i ask, do you have a h/o alternator? HyperliteLF920
I do not have an H/O alternator, I am guessing it may be a wise investment though...? Yea the HC800 would be good... I was only talking about the 1/0 to the amp. C-Fizzy
oh ok, OP, its always good to invest in a H/O alt, especially if you plan on upgrading to bigger and better things. but for your current setup, you will be fine with just an extra battery.
