sean 371
Since I can't do all this fiberglass on the front stage and leave the back doors stock, here's what I'm doing here... Enlarged the stock mounting location just a tad: Mounted: Took a mold of the stock grill: All I got for now...You can start to see where its going though..Feedback appreciated as always... ChevyBoy
so you just cut it out to put the speakers grill on it or what?
sean 371
Nope, you'll see...If I can find a pic of something similar I'll post it, but basically the fiberglass goes down to meet the speaker. I'll be cutting a wood ring and mounting it flush with the ring of the speaker, and then glassing to that to hide the gap. Like I said, you'll see haha A couple links to some box builds: Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI, Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150 My own car builds (current setup --- under construction): Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors Subwoofer Wall

Haha well its real easy to work on my car when I don't have a job, school, or family to take care of. You'll have better components in there than I will though. This is very OT (but its my thread haha so i can do that!) but I want to put some more components in the wall on either side of the box in the trim panel...Any thoughts on what I should put there? roscoe1129
depends on what your trying to spend...I put one pair of the punch 6.5's in the benz and they are nice and loud....clean too...Ive got morels for the burb...alot of difference there though. sean 371
Yea definately. But with 320 watts going to two pairs of focals in the front, and 200 watts going to a pair of cdt comps in the back, I don't want to put something that will actually worsen the sound quality....Plus I'd rather not have them taking power away from the rear components...Quite a conundrum..
