15insane Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 i really hope you plan on doing a double baffle? (2 3/4" boards thick) i am using 1" mdf. is that not good? and if not can i just layer over a sheet of 3/4" overtop of the 1"?

15insane Posted June 12, 2010 Author Report Posted June 12, 2010 this will be my wiring 2 runs of 1/0 awg from alt to front batt + (Shurkin BT60) 2 runs of 1/0 awg from front batt + (Shurkin BT60) to rear batt + (Shurkin BT80) 2 runs of 1/0 awg from front batt - (Shurkin BT60) to chassis 2 runs of 1/0 awg from front batt - (Shurkin BT60) to motor ground 2 runs of 1/0 awg from rear batt - (Shurkin BT80) to chassis 1 run of 1/0 awg from rear batt +/- to Audioque AQ2200D amplifier 1 run of 4 awg from rear batt +/- to Audioque 4X90 amplifier 16 awg for speakers 12 or 10 awg for subs i also started on my door pods and have some bracing updates

kirill007 Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Small tip, don't tune it to 33hz, too low for the AQ drivers, if u tune them that low you won't get very loud. I would stick with recommended tuning which is around 35-38hz. So 35hz at lowest, if u want to be louder and still hit higher bassnotes, i would tune to 37hz. I don't know why people recomended tuning below 35hz, because that's maybe a good tuning for most drivers, but not for the HDC3's. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
