Dr. Winn
whats the best way to hook up my ipod to my head unit, would it just be one of those aux cables u plug into the front, or should i get one that has the actual ipod connection. i am trying to find one that will give me the best quality music for my car. InfiniteRuckus
u can run an rca to headphone jack from the rca AUX "in" & then plug in your ipod
Reallunacy
Are you talking about what to look for in a HU? If so, I would get one that allows the iPod to connect via USB. To my understanding, that allows the best quality.
Guest
3.5 to 3.5mm cable to connect through the AUX port on the front of the headunit. http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KRY-3535 but if your headunit as a usb port on the front/rear, use that instead. tomypg
I would prefer to use the USB line out, as this means no clipping from the ipod (unless clipping on the song), however ith a 3.5 jack into the headphones you may turn it up too loud on the ipod. Just a thought My iPod touch was scoped, and at max volume playing 0db test tones, there was no clipping. This was without any eq activated, as long as you keep it off or set to flat, it should be fine, but thats only for iPod touches and iPhones.
