thehoe92 Posted March 14, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 14, 2011 first off big thanks to Tiller for helping me out with this and teaching me how to fiberglass masked off the iPad ready to pour some resin over it to get the shell resin coat (red), mat over the top (black) I had no idea how I was going to get it to be flush but I came up with this then I'm going to take that template and fiberglass that to the bezel and cut out the opening for the iPad oh and I smoothed out the left side grooves like Steve because my iPad install will be similar to the way Steve has his mac mini flushed into the dash so there will be no grooves a really snug fit on the shell I never thought that I would be able to tackle this project but I'm finally getting somewhere Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

thehoe92 Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 15, 2011 I don't currently have a headunit and don't really know if I will be running one in the future.. my goal is to have the iPad go straight to a Rockford Fosgate 360.3 and thanks I really like how I did the purple this time did some more work on it today... just getting a feel for how its going to look in the dash cut out the template finished smoothing the groove on the left side now time to hold the template in after a couple hours of shaving away and sanding to get it some what smooth it is almost done! keep in mind this is my first time working with bondo and fiberglass so go easy on me Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
