baaudio
odds are the screw holes are stripped. fill the old ones with glue and drill more. maybe put a 1x1 against that edge to screw into. its probably just flexing too much so more bracing would prolly help Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
BeatBox
i had that problem with my subs they would keep making the screws come out...so took them out and put in bigger ones
etaks_crew
I never had luck with liquid nails unless I was running a bead along the inside on my box. Since I switched to tite bond II, I haven't had any problems. Not saying thats why its doing that just saying it used to happen to me when I used liquid nails. skittlesRgood
so its not the screws holding the subs in? its the box? did you predrill the screw holes or just ram screws in? if you didnt predrill then the wood is probably stripped and/or split. dont use liquid nails, just use some good wood glue. the screws just act like clamps while the glue drys and arnt needed for structure. ive built boxes with no screws but its only cause i have a shit ton of clamps.
