New Amp, need advice

Ok so I just bought a zx1500.1, twice the power as my old 750.1 lol this thing is a powerhouse and is more than enough power for the 15" cvx im running. Anyways my voltage drops big time and the amp is only on half gain and no bass boost!! and im only running 4gauge to it with a stock die hard batt and 70A alt. :( So im wondering which steps i should take to get more out of this amp.. and which should i get first, a ho alt. or a good battery?

heres what i would do

1. Big three

2. run 0 guage to the amp instead of 4

3. second battery in the trunk

4. replace the battery under the hood

5. bigger alternator

you proabably won't even need step4 and 5 i just threw them in there for good measure

ok so you guys think i need a second batt? before the alt, cuz im rockin a 70A lol and wont i have to run more power wire to the batt in the back and an isolator or hows that work? and even if i do the second batt how is a 70A alt suppose to keep both charged? and im doing the big three ASAP trust me..

I had a kicker 1500 and I had the big 3 and a yellowtop under the hood. my voltage drop wasnt terrible but i had a 105 amp alt.

the stock alt is designed to power only what the car comes with originally and maybe a few amps of reserve. add in a 1500 watt amp, and your just killing your electrical system. go for the wiring and alt first!

ya that kinda makes more sense to me.. I my alt cannot supply the power needed to run that amp to its best

also remember that having a crap battery and a great alt wont solve voltage problems. one good bat and an alt is the best option with a second out back
