Integra_boomer
Ok so I just bought a zx1500.1, twice the power as my old 750.1 lol this thing is a powerhouse and is more than enough power for the 15" cvx im running. Anyways my voltage drops big time and the amp is only on half gain and no bass boost!! and im only running 4gauge to it with a stock die hard batt and 70A alt. So im wondering which steps i should take to get more out of this amp.. and which should i get first, a ho alt. or a good battery? cqtama
heres what i would do 1. Big three 2. run 0 guage to the amp instead of 4 3. second battery in the trunk 4. replace the battery under the hood 5. bigger alternator you proabably won't even need step4 and 5 i just threw them in there for good measure Quote R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up. s_carter
the stock alt is designed to power only what the car comes with originally and maybe a few amps of reserve. add in a 1500 watt amp, and your just killing your electrical system. go for the wiring and alt first! I my alt cannot supply the power needed to run that amp to its best Quote 1995 Integra GSR (DB8) Pioneer 3200-DVD 6.5 rockford fosgate 2-way fronts 6.5 rockford fosgate 3-way rear saz-3000D (2) 12" SA-12s
CNF Kevosinn
also remember that having a crap battery and a great alt wont solve voltage problems. one good bat and an alt is the best option with a second out back Quote *** SuperSeller Status Verified *** ( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers/ ) "kevosinn's" astro van 8 custom Sundown Zv4 18's 4 Sundown scv 6000's CNF Distribution CNC parts Skyhigh wire some batteries SMD Meters and tools used on the installhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172877-kevosinns-vanwest-coast-skyhigh-car-audio-vehicle/ 16,000 watt walled silverado build.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161965-walled-silverado-4-hdc4-15s-4-crescendo-3500s-and-much-more/ 8,000 watt 1999 Subaru legacy outback.
