Walled car=registration issues?

Hey all. I just got back from buying a bunch of MDF to start on my wall build when a buddy of mine that was helping me out said that he doesn't think that my car will be able to pass inspection if the rear window is blocked. I know a bunch of you on here have walls and was wondering if you had any issues with that? Thanks-

Im not sure about the US, But here in NZ you have to re register your car as a commercial vehicle and you can do 0% tints e.g block back windows, Means yu have to remove back seatbelts etc.

the laws are different from state to state. im in ohio and they dont seem to give much of a shit about that. we dont have to have our cars inspected every year or anything liek that.

Do you have to do an annual inspection?

I live in WI and all we have to do is pass an OBD-II plug-in test. They don't look at the rest of the car. If your state is similar you should be fine.

Otherwise, IDK. I bet there's a way around it tho

As far as I know you should be fine. You can theoretically spray paint your back windows black, As long as you have side view mirrors.

call an inspection station and ask. i heard if your car has side mirrors on both sides it's ok and trucks can, but i haven't checked in a long time.

In most state's you are required to have the driver's side mirror, and at least ONE other (either the rear view or the right side)

Just check up on your local laws.

I live in Massachusetts. But I just got my sticker yesterday. With the box in and all. So I guess it's not an issue anymore ha.
