I had so many issues with my last alt i went ahead and dropped 600 on a xs power alt... Autruche Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 I wouldn't trust them really, they said, in the description, to use 4 gauge power wire from the alternator to the battery. I don't know if you know this but 4 gauge is only good for a max of 100 amps. If this were a true 220 amp alternator you'd think they'd get their shit right and tell you it needs 0 Gauge. They said they had a warranty and so I tried to call them and get a replacement or a refund but they kept saying that their "technician" would call me back, which he never did. After going back and forth like this about 6 times I finally said fuck it and decided to take the loss and chalk it up as a learning experience.
