Both will be running at 2 ohms to a SA-12 untill I get the money for another one. Both will be running off a XS Power 975. The only problem is the SAE 1200Dv1 is refurbished one off of db-r w/o a bass knob and its used. I can get the soundtream new for the same price its just im not sure how good newer soundtream stuff is. s_carter Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 My Rubicon is a beast, I love it, and I haven't has a single issue with mine, and it has never gone into thermal or overload, but I am only running 2 ohms for now. Head cracking bass and some excellent SQ as well, and a regulated power supply, which means it will put out full power as long as the voltage is within limits. I have the new 2010 model year. The sundown is a good amp too, but since its refurbished- it may have had a hard life. I repair amps, and I see a lot that have caught fire, due to modding mostly, and being pushed too hard for too long. Not talking bad about DB-R's work, I hear nothing but good things about it. skittlesRgood Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 dont worry about a refurb from DB-r. ive had one from them and its taken all the abuse i could give it. honestly couldnt tell it was ever used. a buddy of mine got a refurb sundown from them as well. works great, looks new. if i ever have an amp break on me itll go to db-r for repair. they are top notch.
