Kicker Trunk Build **2-10's=150.2dbs**

Recommended Posts

Take a piece of 2in PVC cut it in half and screw it right on the edge of the port wall closest to the sub. Always gained me .4db on the TL. Helps reduce turbulence, the TL doesnt like turbulence. That's why the aero ports work so well. Resin on the inside of the box all nice and smooth it good for another .2 db.

.... Bill did this on Ray's box. On the inside of the port edge to the left side.... Bill might have tried this with your box too...

Glassing the box is cool.... But there's 2 things you gotta keep in mind.. Airspace is reduced and the box won't be as smooth... I'd throw resin in the corner gaps before I matted the entire box. If any edge isn't sealing 100% resin should take care of it. Without a term lab to see if your changes are making an improvement or taking away, you'll never know if you're going 2 steps forward or back. Which is why I would leave the box alone until you have access to one. Reducing flex and modding those amps will get you to that 150. Swap out the batteries to some XS power... ;-)

Get to work on it already. You have plenty to keep you busy before the next show. :D

Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

Got started on it tonight, coils arent as bad as i thought. The one closer to the port is a lil bit darker the other is not bad imo. Ill clean out the box tomorrow and put first layer.
