Carlos Tj
im still planning everything out for my build, havent purchased anything just planning everything before i do what i do... my question is is a 15 inch sub too much for a trunk car? my seat doesnt go down or anything... or better yet are two 15 inch subs too much for a trunk car? just so you know i am not going to put any speakers on the rear deck to let some air flow thru is this too much or is it never enough? haha Subs I'm plannin on using: 1x DC lvl 5 15'' 2x DC lvl 4xl 15'' Quote 2005 Dodge Magnum Kenwood DNX573S Double Din NVX Big 3 Kit NVX 0 Gauge Cable & speaker cable XS Power V3100 Battery Iraggi Alternator 320A 3.5" NVX Speakers 6.5" Incriminator Audio Components (just mids) 6x9" NVX Speaker MVPA4 Amplifier (2) 12" NVX VCW Subwoofers XPLD3K NVX Amplifier YouTube Channel @CarlosTj664
Alex K
Depends on the trunk. Im bouta run a dc lvl 4 xl 15" in my trunk. gl fitting 2 15's unless its sealed lol. Not a good idea with those subs though. But my seat folds down, and i cant stand now having my rear deck speakers, so maybe its diff for you. Quote 2006 Nissan Z Track. Carlos Tj
well for one lvl 5 i have plenty of space but for two idk... i wanted to make a wedge box so the box is not all boxy and doesnt end next to the trunk hatch... but for two 15 inch subs i can get about 7 cubic feet... but subtract to 7cubic feet the port and sub displacement etc haha idk it would be a tought desicion haha Quote 2005 Dodge Magnum Kenwood DNX573S Double Din NVX Big 3 Kit NVX 0 Gauge Cable & speaker cable XS Power V3100 Battery Iraggi Alternator 320A 3.5" NVX Speakers 6.5" Incriminator Audio Components (just mids) 6x9" NVX Speaker MVPA4 Amplifier (2) 12" NVX VCW Subwoofers XPLD3K NVX Amplifier YouTube Channel @CarlosTj664
R_Mac_1
Some 15s require less space. For example, some of Sundown's subs recommend around 3 cubes for a 15 (like my z15). You'd probably have better luck with two 12s over two 15s. Carlos Tj
Two level 4 15s. From the tone of your posts you'd probably burn up anything more aight i might get lvl 4s but two 15's in a trunk is not too much is it? thats what my original question was and no one answered me that haha im planning on buying a crescendo 3k to power either a single 15 lvl 5 or two xl's or lvl 4 i guess haha Quote 2005 Dodge Magnum Kenwood DNX573S Double Din NVX Big 3 Kit NVX 0 Gauge Cable & speaker cable XS Power V3100 Battery Iraggi Alternator 320A 3.5" NVX Speakers 6.5" Incriminator Audio Components (just mids) 6x9" NVX Speaker MVPA4 Amplifier (2) 12" NVX VCW Subwoofers XPLD3K NVX Amplifier YouTube Channel @CarlosTj664
Mr. Darkjustice
noone gave you an answer cause its all based on if your trunk has the space to make the boxes at least close to the right size. and if you have the space to make the box work properly. so basically if you can make it work the right way then its never too much. itll just involve alot more work Quote Fusion With A Stetsom 4k2d on 2 DC XL 15s tuned to 31hz and Subs and ports forward The Revolution Was Not Televised But There Is This Thread(clicky) Dr Merkenstein is my 360 gamertag and my profession.
