I tested them strapped @ .25 (.125ea amp). Worked fine but I had to roll the volume up to full tilt. Burping @ full tilt the amps would protect. Do the amps play for a while before going into protect? Or is it right away? Everything really depends on why the are protecting? I couls be thermal protect from getting to hot. I have seam them run hard for hours @ .25ea for several hours with no issues. I also depends on voltage and final load after rise. If you say its certain songs your load could be dropping very low causing the protect. Wiring it up high wond hurt the amps just might make things not as loud.
