quick question for you what ohm are your xls and what do you have your m3s stapped at. i hooked up my 4 xl 18s d1.4s yesterday and i have them strapped at .7 shit pounds but my slave amp goes into protect on certain songs when im nailing it. if i wire it up to 2.8 do u think ther will be alot less output. i dont wat to fry my m4. what do u think

For daily they are strapped @ 1ohm (.5ea amp), plays fine all day long. I tested them strapped @ .25 (.125ea amp). Worked fine but I had to roll the volume up to full tilt. Burping @ full tilt the amps would protect.

i ohmed at my amps and got a reeding of .4 to .5 so amps are seeing half that. it plays most music fine. should i wire them up? i know out put will go down but how much is the question. dd says 2ohm minimum and if i do u think i could blow one? also my voltage drops bad at idle 11.5 im waiting on a 3rd alternator then i should be fine

Its really hard to say. Do the amps play for a while before going into protect? Or is it right away? Everything really depends on why the are protecting? I couls be thermal protect from getting to hot. I have seam them run hard for hours @ .25ea for several hours with no issues. I also depends on voltage and final load after rise. If you say its certain songs your load could be dropping very low causing the protect. Wiring it up high wond hurt the amps just might make things not as loud.
