Ok, Im about to go and test out a few more combinations of things but so far I have tested them all by themselves but when i tested 2 of them once at 1 ohm it protected, now if I test the other 2 at 1 ohm and it protects what could that mean? why would it protect at 1 ohm? So far my subs seem to be checking out as nothing is wrong with them all the coils stabilize at 4.0 like 4.1 or 4.2 ohms. what else can I try, I am going to try the other 2 at 1 ohm then hopefully I will do every combination of different 2 subs at 1 ohm and then wire all 4 up to 2 ohms but if I had a subwoofer issue would the amp protect in 2 ohm too or only when the amp is being worked hard?

Ok I am officially very confused. Wired all 4 subs at 2 ohm, goes into protect. 2 to 1 ohm no protect wire the other 2 to 1 ohm no protect, Wire each pair to 4 ohms no protect so for the hell of it I tried .5 ohms again on all 4 and protect. Someone please help me understand whats happening. This makes NO sense to me at all

I think it has gone into protect everytime all 4 subs are hooked up no matter what ohm load? and when only 1 or 2 subs are wired up it doesnt?

have you tried to wire them all up to a 2 ohm load. i wonder if you have an alt on the way out. i had this happen to me.

Yep I did, and it went into protect. I hope it isnt the alt, my voltage always looks good havent seen it drop past 13.8 during all my testing, how would i know if its the alt?

swap it out i blew the regulator in my iraggi and if i turned it up it would send the amp into protect. low volume bumping was no issue stuff like that. Finally swapped the stock back in and it held up just fine. just thorwing some other stuff out there

alright I can try that probably tomorrow, but when your alt was dying did your voltage drop badly or anything also , and im just asking no attitude or anything but that doesnt answer why it doesnt protect unless all 4 subs are hooked up? 2 subs @ 1 ohm works? wtf

Something is being touchy because I wired everything back to 2 ohm all 4 subs just to have some sound for tomorrow until I figure out which direction to start testing next and I turned up the subwoofer level on my head unit and was able to turn the subs up pretty loud for a minute then the song changed and tried to turn it up again and it protected. could my head unit even possibly have anything to do with this problem? i dont know how it would but can anyone think of anything?

Sub level should be zero...you're going to start square waving things.

Verify that you definitely have your wiring correct...if 2 subs will work together at 1ohm, there's no reason why 4 subs will not work together at 2ohms..

Like I said...trying to cover for "box rise" in a daily driver is stupid...you can thank dBdraggers telling kids to do it, and youtube as well because lower ohms = more power..."always"

Check your wiring, use a battery off of a drill to check your polarity of the coils and make sure that you have everything wired in phase. If you touch the wires "correctly" the speakers will move out. If you have one out of phase it either wont move if you have 1 coil wired backwards, or it will move "in"..

im gonna call Liez on that nick, i put an oscilloscope on my kenwood headunit and i ONLY clipped (barely) with flat settings and sub level on +15 at volume 35/35. 34/35 is perfectly fine.
