tomypg Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 ha ha, that's a sweet bike bro, especially that its FS, im savin up lol right now i got the trek, workin on a Specialized P3, its an older frame but its clean, all i got so far on it is a truvative crankarms, not yet a sprocket. deore rear derailer, and 120mm rockshocks. its a builder goin to take a lot o $, but it'll be worth it. its not a FS, wish it was tho.. u gotta sick bike bro, ill have to get a few pics of mine ou building it as a trail basher? Get a non ramped shimano ring. I would look at getting the new xt shadow rear mech and xt shifter, they are awesome for trail mashing. I would look at getting the new xt shadow rear mech and xt shifter, they are awesome for trail mashing. Keep to shimano lol Shimano's good stuff man, have full shimano components on my trek, u ever used WTB Tires? i have 2.3 on the front and 2.2 on the back, tires alone cost me bout $130, makes my bike look partial dirtbike, without the motor of course lol

I use Maxxis crossmarks for xc, kenda small block 8 for trail riding/ dirtjumping, maxxis hookworm for skatepark and minions for DH/freeride. I work in a bike shop, so ahve had time to test most tires free of charge. But I stick to these cause they offer the best weight to grip ratio in my opinion, and I'm pinnar as, so they gotta grip. I use shimano on my Freeride bike ( Glory) And SRAM on my XC bike. Just seems to work better that way. MOTORAPTOR!!!!! Haha, nah they are allright, a few mates run them. Our place to ride over here in NZ is all sand. Pretty much a beach.
