somerandomguy
You going to lug your $2000 SLR around at a rock concert all day in the hot sun with thousands of drunk people staggering around. Even the pros have a point and shoot backup on them at all times. Don't hate. If I had a dslr, then yes, I would.. if i were at a rock concert (very unlikely)

AI James
most concerts dont allow "professional" photography equipment inside. a good point nd shoot is always good to have. and about that sony i had that exact camera and upgraded and now daughter has it and loves it. fritosaregood
I just had this bug too, I went with the sony wx1 its got hd video, you can zoom in and out while it records, panoramic shot, a 10 pic burst shot taking up to 10 pics per second. its only a 10 mega pixel, but i read up on it, and thats all you really need unless you are gonna blow it up to make posters out of the pics you take. I got it mostly for the hd video and the burst shots its 249.99 though. so a little over budget. youll also have to buy a memory stick separately( i didnt know that part) but i got a 8 gig scandisk memory stick for 32 bucks at walmart Quote seller feedback: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61719 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=68281 build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44800 Gf's build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/54346-kickergirls-camaro-new-box-pg-5/#entry753970

AI James
nothing wrong with shopping retail, get off the guys ass already. i shop local on stuff like that too, i just dont like buying things like cameras off line i rather be able to go to a brick and mortar if theres an issue rather then wait on shipping and whatnot
fritosaregood
here is a vid sample of what the Sony wx1 can do. 720p hd vid, and zooming in and out while recording and when i was reading up and looking at reviews, i think i read that canon makes a better picture camera, but sony has better video.
