What amp or amps should I get

Right glad to hear it sounds more like a sensible decision to someone else. My only problem is just the fact that I really havent pinpointed what the problem is. the clif just goes into protect anytime I turn it up accept when I first start driving my voltage will drop down to low 13s (only in hot humid weather usually) and I can bump the amp for like 2 minutes until my voltage comes back above 14 and it cuts off. So to me that rules out a shorted out woofer because why would it play loud with low voltage and always cut out when I have good voltage. I hooked up rcas to a friends HU parked next to me and it protected off his headunit so it cant be my headunit or my rcas because I bypassed that. Re did all my grounds, re sanded connections terminals and my frame. really the only things left are the amp is screwed still or the alternator is doing something whacky.

why not visually check your woofers as well as multimeter them as well.

I should have said that, Its all in my oteher thread all the tests I did, I did meter them all, they all were right around 4 ohms they are dual 4s I had them read like 4.2 4.1 I was also told to gently push on the cones to see if it hit a dead spot or anything and they seemed fine, so that on top of the fact that the amp does not cut out when my voltage is low, I double and triple checked my voltage with my meter as well Im not just going off my stinger digital one although after checking with my dmm that thing seems like its dead nuts accurate.

Sure did free air them, all seemed fine no weird noises or anything

i wouldnt worry about the subs then and would attribute the problem to something else

Im not THAT impulsive where I wouldnt test out anything, I tested everything I could think of and whatever people on here suggested me like I said only thing i havent tested is my alternator... batteries, wiring, subs, headunit, rcas, have all passed tests. So basically I figure I get the aqs and either they works and problem solved, or I have the same problem and now I have better amps and I fix the problem and that means the clif amp is still good too and I can test it out and sell that one for dirt cheap and get a little money back.

Right that's why I don't think my woofers are the issue, other than that I used another friends hu an rcas and it still protected that wa after I checked all wiring resanded and reclamped grounds tested batteries so like I said it's down to the alt and the amp

Ok , tonight is the night I got all my paypal stuff squared away, didnt think it would be a 3 day process to add a credit card to my account on there but i guess better that they are secure, anyways I am sitting with another tab open with 2 aq 2200s in my shopping cart ready to pay through paypal, last chance for someone to try and talk me out of it or talk me into it more, My fingers itching to hit the button. Any last minute opinions?
