I played beats 4 my van and a chopped and screwed version of King Kong, now my rear glass wont come open. No I sure don't Some unexpected bills have really thrown a wrench in my plans. I don't know when the gravy train will start flowing in for alternator money, but when it does they will surely be on there. My voltage drop on test tones and really sustained bass notes is about 11v at the amps- not good at all, but not to where I'm worried about messing up the equipment. Let me put it like this, (I don't know if I've said this already, so oh well) when a btl is getting the full 4k watts or so, it moves about 4+ inches peak to peak. Right now they are moving < 1" peak to peak. To get full power I set each 4k watt amp to put out around 62v ac to each sub, so around 250v total. Right now I have each sub getting about 12v each on -0 test tones, so about 48v ac total. From what I can figure I'm giving them easily less than 4000 watts combined (actually more like 3000). There's just no way to pull the power I need to off of a 130a factory alternator and 3 yellowtops. I only have 1 run of 1/0 to boot. I was considering taking out 3 of the amps just to see what kind of score I could get, but I doubt it would be worth the effort. I'm as excited now about getting the alternators in as I was about getting the subs and amps. I'm going to see if I can't get one more run of 1/0 in by saturday if I can make the comp, but I don't know if it'll help much. It sure wont hurt (maybe upgrade the factory grounds and such). I just don't have much time at the moment. I can't get ahold of the guy who was going to do my painting so I think I'll just do it myself. Thanks for the feedback, I'd do a lot more with it, but I've been really busy with work. More vids soon I hope- I'm going to an authentic hungarian party saturday (that's why I might not make the comp)- lots of people I can't understand there. They have this stuff that's like gas- must be somwhere 150 proof- schlivowitz I think it is- that's some good stuff. Anyway, maybe a few drunk hungarians will hop in? No ones out w/ the rain, and a friend who was supposed to drop by couldn't because of working late last night. I'm going to buy a paint sprayer and practice some this week. I've used a hopper for houses- but never a sprayer for a car. Reading up so I can paint the box myself- the guy who I wanted to wont call back and I'm sure I'll use it in the future. I need to figure out why my glass wont open- but with it raining and me having no garage that's not going to work either. Also the push pins for my headliner popped out and I'm trying to figure out what I can replace them with that will be long enough to hold http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif I went to get in the car and there's actually a white ring on the rubber seals for the door where paint is rubbing off from vibration I don't know what to do with all the problems I'm having right now. I met my wife at the college she attends for lunch yesterday, on the way out you know I had to bump it She called me after following me for a minute or two to tell me my rear wiper was moving about 3" back and forth- and when I got home I looked and it had actually left black rubber marks from rubbing.
