hifonics HFI12d4 vs Kicker 10C124

alright so i am wondering which would be better, the hifonics have higher power handling(300wrms) vs the kickers (150wrms). hifonics have 11mm xmax and the kickers have 9.6mm xmax. here are the specs for the 2 kickers and hifonics. would the hifonics be better just because of the specs and the kicker is just the name or is it really just the name?

Neither they both suck spend a little more and u can get better both of those subs are built cheap and in my opinion. Not worth the money if you have to buy cheap I'd get alpine type r. But if you look around on the forums you mat find a good deal

i had made this question before few months ago, anyways they told me to go with the hifonics plus for 35 bucks its not that bad a waste of money if its not what you expected.

I'd go with the Kickers. Sonic has a deal with the Kicker Comps. 2 12" Comps for $106 shipped.

Could you explain why the Hifonics sub sucks? For the price, it simply cannot be beat. I have seen them overpowered on a daily basis and they easily handle the power. I have 2 of them that are almost as loud as my friends 2 10" Kicker L5's. I have heard MANY people discuss the HFI12D4, but you are actually the FIRST person that I have heard say a single thing bad about them. I have had mine for 2 years and beat them on a daily basis and I have NEVER had a single problem with them, nor do I have a single complaint about them.

**EDIT** And yes, that's me recommending the Hifonics subs. Get more than 2 though and do something fun.

I have 4 kicker comp 12's in a box with a port that's too small running reccomended power, and hit a 142.8 at 50hz

The hifonics aren't a bad option the kickers just wont really handle much power go hifonics.

im doing 12 12" subs in a blazer =) i cant afford a bunch of expensive subs, i asked about these 2 subs. i have looked around alot. ohhh crutchfrield has em 2 for a 100, im leaning more toward the hifonics jus cuz i can save a little money, they have better power handling ect. ive heard alot about both subs im just not sure which would be better.

no thats my old cavalier. im doing 12 12" subs in a clamshell in the back of my blazer. powered by a hifonics hfi2500
