atlninja82 Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 hey guys, I just got a new truck and im looking into doing the big 3. Well I ran into a problem. The alt wire runs into the fuse box first and then goes to the battery. The alternator fuse is only like 120 amps. what do I do? i cant bypass the fuse box or the alternator wont charge I donno what to do. any ideas?

Leave the stock wire there; the power is going to take the path of least resistance anyways. Just be sure to fuse it. 2006 Nissan Z Track. CheezyMane13 Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Plain and simple don't run the wire to the fuse block, run you wire new wire from your alt to the battery, while still keeping the existing stock wire. If you feel froggy, put a 200A fuse inline from your alt to the battery. GioRF Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Mines also going to tha fuse box what i did, i left tha stock wire and added 1/0 wire directly from alt to bat and from 14.1v it reached 14.6v with tha big 3.
