andym85 Posted August 8, 2007 Report Share Posted August 8, 2007 a-rod has like 100 more home runs then bonds had at his age. a-rod will kill the record i think. i also think that if griffey could have stayed healthy, he would destroy the record also...although he has like 20 more home runs then bonds did at his age. i dont mind the record being broken, its always exciting when something like this happens in sports. i love baseball. I bet those guys cant even hit a ball past the infield. Dont tell me they never "took the needle". I dont know exactly what steroids would do for a baseball player......recover from an injury faster? Does it increase your hand-eye coordination? I dont know enough about them but he looks normal and healthy to me. Steroids can't help hand-eye coordination. That's a God given talent along with alot of practice. Bonds is just a great hitter, hands down!! I agree with Amatt, if Griffey could have stayed health, he would kill this record! A-Rod, if able to stay health, is going to break it. Congrats to Bond!!! andym85 Posted August 8, 2007 Report Share Posted August 8, 2007 yea, after playing baseball for half my life, i dont see how steriods help u hit a ball that is coming at you at 90+ mph and u have less than a second to react. sure you might have a bit more power...but i just think people underestimate how much talent there is in hitting a ball coming at u so fast. t-rob Posted August 8, 2007 Report Share Posted August 8, 2007 this is in my opinion... anytime someone in this world breaks a sport record they are first looked at as you cheated somehow... they say he took steriods, but that doesnt help you hit a ball that is less then 3 1/4" big coming at sometimes 90+mph or even 80mph curve balls from the best guys in the buisness....they also say well the roids he did/did not take is vision enhancing so basically he would have 20/10.... kay so that could only help him tell what the pitch is not exactly where its gunna be or exactly the timing of when to swing...yes hes a professional baseball player but so are the guys throwing him every pitch not anything diffrent from human...he is a amazing baseball player and is exactly what everyone else is saying the hank of our time. Congrats to barry bonds, and I think he deserves all the recognition he gets.u have about 1/10 of a second to decide if ur going to swing at a ball that is coming like 90mph at u...thats like blinking. all the steriods in the world couldnt help...he has some talent..i dont think he is the best to play the game like some do, but he is pretty damn good!a bit off topic...i was wathing a video of arnold after a body building competition...after he was done he went to his room and smoked some weed..lol. apparently he did that a lot.
