does low quality music kill your speakers like clipping?

like the title says does a low bit rate song lets say 96 kbps maybe even 60 have the same effect as clipping. i notice songs like that when i play them have a crackling noise or popping noise that sounds like distortion. also then my question is that if you take a clipped song and it is compressed to a lower bit rate or lower level and the clipping is not visible (at least easily visible and noticeable) on windows media player, does it still exist and damage your speakers? i tried searching but couldnt find much

Why would you wanna listen to low quality music anyway? Lowest bit rate in my itunes is 128kbps and the only reason I have those is b/c alot of older rocks songs weren't recorded any higher.

How can you hardly notice a low bit rate? Especially 90kb/s, that sounds so hideously bad.

Anyway I'm pretty sure it won't kill anything as long as it isn't clipped. It will just sound like crap.
