2007 World Finals Overview

PRELIMINARY

== REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ==

Contestants shall first compete in one of the six Regional Championships located in the USA and Europe.

There are three Regional Championship locations in the USA and three Regional Championship locations in Europe. Contestants in North America may participate at any one of the three locations in the USA and contestants in Europe may participate at any one of the three locations in Europe. To be eligible for competition in the Regional Championship, competitors must be a current member (dB Drag Racing or Bass Race) and the competitor must have a Certified Score for the class in which they will be competing. Participants at each Regional Championship location will only compete against other contestants that are physically present at that location.

Trophies will be awarded for 1st-8th place in each class at each Regional Championship location.

== NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ==

Seperate National Championships will take place in the USA and Europe. Contestants participating in the USA will be competing in the North American National Championship and contestants participating in Europe will be competing in the European National Championship.

Eligibility for competition in the North American National Championship will be determined as follows...

Only competitors that have met the World Finals qualification requirements will be considered.

The results from each North American Regional Championship will be combined into a single database. We will then select the four loudest contestants in each class based on their highest "backed-up" score (World Record Methodology).

Once the four finalists in each class have been identified, they will be entered into a new North American Championship competition. No qualifying runs will be permitted. The competition will start with the semi-final rounds of elimination. Each competitors highest "backed-up" score will be used to determine their bracket position. The National Championship will consist of semi-final and final elimination rounds only. The winner in each class will be the North American Champion for that class. Contestants participating in the North American National Championship may be competing against contestants that are physically present or they may be competing against contestants that are located at one of the other two Regional Championship locations in North America.

The North American National Champion will compete against the European National Champion in each class to determine the World Champion for that class.

Custom "superbowl - style" rings will be awarded to the 1st place World Champion in each class.

ok guys here is the deal.. the west coast regional and World Finals will be held at San Mateo Convention Center.. we will be having a competitor party and lots of cool stuff... so if you want to participate in this event you need to attend 1 of the many 2x or 3x event AND BE A DBDRAG OR BASS RACE MEMBER... so get your memberships ASAP.. you can purchase them at the shows or online here ... also check my Calendar often.. we are adding shows daily and changing a few in certain areas to multi point events.. lets show the rest of the world that we deserve the dBDrag WF on this side of the continent.. to be eligible for the national and world title in your class you need to have 75 points but if you want to just be part of the regional you only need to attend a multi point event.. for the regional event we are going to have trophies 1st - 8th place and 1st will be in the range of 7 FOOT Tall..
