zachfowler222 Posted October 20, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 20, 2010 alright guys i have been getting kinda lazy but heres a little update now i know its not as good as meades but its alright lol! (some pictures wont upload but heres a few) bracket i made out of 4 inches long aluminum and grinded it down until i got it right, then drilled some holes in it and then sprayed it with veara prime(sp) and then primer mounted the tv and ran the wires. test fitting and looking at it from the front view , also when its mounted in place in the car theres no gap between the bottom theres a piece on my dash where it pushs it down flush so theres no gaps on top or bottom! chilling in the passanger seat .... i was testing the power and playing with it all in place ( idk why in the picture it looks crooked but it all lines up PERFECT! honestly i thought wasnt going to fit because i had such a small space to work with but i pushed it in there and had to grind down part of the screw holding th bracket to clear a metal piece but it all worked out and once i get my connector in the bottom tv will be a carputer i also blacked out my tail lights of course i used nite shades lol taping it off because all black is to plain for me, i want this car simple and clean but i cant do what everyone else around me is doing! and yes thats electrical tape lol (also i would have taken the tail lights out but in this car you have to take the bumper off and everything and i was going to do all that! after 3 coats, after every coat i wet sanded it down with 1500 grit and 2000 grit then sprayed it again! i did about a total of 8 LIGHT COATS! and finally wet sanded with 2000 grit to finish it off and i hand buffed it with some mother's headlight polish but i will buff it with an actual buffer to get it shiny soon! FINISHED PRODUCT, what do you think?? tail lights are not any bit of red......the little red you see is in direct sunlight and camera flash but i made sure THERE WAS NO RED AT ALL! Also, is that the carputer? idk honestly whats going on with it ...... i guess my springs just now settled! but its been awhile since they were suppose to! idk and i used to cut it a little out of my driveway bbut if i did that now and dont go basically sideways i hit my sub frame! and yea right now i just have my the tv playing whatever my head unit is until i can get the connector!
