DC and Sundown Explorer - New Vids pg 5!

My good friend, Evan, lil marinette on here, has an Explorer and is sick of hearing about all of the losers at school reppin the mainstream brands and told me he wanted to go big and put them all to shame, so he needed help with a system, and he came to me... here is what we came up with...

Head unit:

Fujitsu Stylistic Tablet PC

Mids/highs:

Dual XPA4640, Dual 6x9s, infinty reference 4s

Bass:

18 inch DC Level 5 on a Sundown SAZ-3000D

Box:

6.5 cubes, interchangeable ports

Ports:

8Osq inches @ 32Hz, 96sq inches @ 36Hz

Electrical:

3 XS Power D3400s, Mechman 270S Alternator, big 3, all 0 gauge power/ground

Hells yeah, that's the point, none of this "my two twelves will be louder BS, we want to make people feel like they overpaid for everything at the local shops... then they come to me... muahaha

We don't even have the second alternator at all, he is still deciding what to get. The sub is a dual 2 ohm, so until we get a second alternator, we will run it at a 4 ohm load, after we get the second alternator in it will be running at 1 ohm and we'll scope the amp. The AC doesn't work, so we're ditching that. Just like me, he would rather have good voltage than to have AC.

The box is built to be both aesthetically pleasing and be functional. I sunk quite a few hours into this design. However, note that I did not put bracing in this rendering, but I did calculate out the volume to include all of the bracing.

The back:

Port on the bottom, and the upper hole is going to be a 3/4" acrylic window, approximately 18wX7h to show off the beast of a motor.

The side holes will be battery boxes, and will have covers, which will be vented. The middle hole is where we will mount the amp, and it will be flush mounted with a trim ring. All wiring will be ran in PVC piping though the box to keep the outside looking clean.

lolz, we still need the batteries, the wood to build the box, ring terminals, fuses and fuse blocks first, and a head unit, of course. Then he just needs to pick up a second pair of speakers and the alternator and all of the equipment is ready.
