snackeyg
Which option is best and why? 1 18-2000 watts 2 15's- 1000 watts x 2 4 12's 500 watts x 4 I'm gonna max out at 2kwrms and I'm trying to figure out what option is best. I have a feeling it's the 2 15's. This would be for a daily drive so a mix of SPL and SQ.

snackeyg
Amp I don't know. That'd be the next thing I need to figure out. I'm new to getting smart on car audio. If 4 12's is best I'm thinking 4 Level 3's.

monkeyleg
Based on your very short list, I would say go by cone area and price so the 4 - 12". How much volume you have to play with? Sealed or ported? Quote Google it

How much volume you have to play with? Sealed or ported? Ported, Audi A3, 19.5 cubes, 140 amp alt. Amp I don't know that's actually my latest thread in the DC audio section. I don't plan on upgrading the alt(voiding the warranty=lame) so batteries it is. Um any other info needed? Edit: Might be a GTI instead of an A3 which would be 15.1 cubes instead. Both are plenty. monkeyleg
If I were you I would just get 4 12"s. They're cheaper and it looks awesome. It really sucks going by a power limit. Alot of 18" like too much power it almost seems a waste to get an 18. Getting two 15"s and only feed them 1000 sounds good too. That would be my second choice. You're taking the back seats off ? These car have small trunks, they can only fit 2 12"s ported, and this would be a very tight fit!!! But they do get loud (vw gti's) FTW !
