SPL box for Solo X

Yes. This is almost always loudest unless you can do forwards and sealed. And even then sometimes rear or side firing is loudest.

EDIT: Just looked at build log.

Common chamber, common port is louder 99.9% of the time. Then the other 0.1% is seperate chamber, common port.

Seperate port = fail for spl, IMO.

so your saying build it with only one port?

Quality is all in how you take pictures ;) I have plenty of projects that look WAY better on camera then in person :D

crazy to fit so many in so little. Reminds me of some of the porns I've seen?

you should be able to do well over a 142 if you have the electrical to back up those 2500's. what exactly do you want numbers or some massive daily beats? just because your not hitting over a 142 doesnt mean its not loud to the ear. the way it looks your setup for more "show" than spl. if your after numbers id rip out that trunk and do a rear fire box with no custom trim panels. build a box with aeros so you can test and tune until you reach the decibels your happy with.

i did a setup in my brothers cavalier, he had a audioque hdc3 and an aq-2200d around 3 cubes tuned for daily around 36 hz and we ran it at comp did a 144.5 in the kick.

if your happy with the way your car sounds if it does the job for a daily setup, dont worry about numbers

yes its set up for show but i still want it to do the numbers :santa: i dont have much room in my trunk do to i had to cut out my spare tire well and welded a flat piece of metal to cover it to mount my air bag equiptment under the car. and i have 2 batteries in the trunk as well. im thinking about doing a new display in the trunk my first plans were to do it like the mazda 6 build log on the forum. but i didnt have the time and money for that type of build. but now that im thinking of it im going to do it.

WHAT? i love kicker subs, a friend of mine is hitting 148 dbs with 2 cvx 15´s on 3000 watts and yes, it´s a daily box, so i guess they do pretty good, besides that, you know who steve mick is?? he used kicker on every comp, i don´t know if he´s still with those subs, but yes, kicker do pretty damn good!!

By the way, my friends on Venezuela are on top 3 in every Iasca class and they use Kicker for your information :yahoo:

just some stuff ive had in my car....

1 solox 12, 1 kicker kx2500.1 - 153.3db at 45hz, on dash, termlab, non walled, 149.8db bass race

1 solox 18, 2 kicker kx2500.1 - 153.2db at 30hz, on dash, termlab, non walled, 149.9db bass race

2 cvx 15, 1 kicker kx2500.1 - 152.5db at 41hz, on dash, termlab, non walled, 151.1db bass race

I have no doubt that the setup can be louder. Design will make all the difference. I think there are things that need attention in the current box design.

Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)
